about

This is in some ways my favorite track. The idea came to me in a dream. The developing view begins as a little boy thinks he hears his mother call him to breakfast as he thinks he wakes up and goes into the kitchen only to find the breakfast table (with all it’s pancakes, dishware,, etc) has turned into a little toy town.

Fascinated, yet a little upset about having to eat stores, libraries, sky scrapers and city streets for breakfast, the boy complains to his mother.

Suddenly, his mother grabs the table cloth tightly with both hands and with all her might yanks as hard as she can in hopes to whip it off fast enough to keep the little toy town in tact.

Nope. The miniature city crumbles to the floor as the little boy’s breakfast rises up to the ceiling along with all the dust and clutter, forming a huge tasty cloud mass made up entirely of pancakes...

Of course the final lyrics freely extrapolate on that rough idea, making the whole morning ordeal surreal on all levels. Good times.

PANCAKE HEAVEN was to be released as a cassingle along with Leave Me Now, Don’t Leave Me Now but that never came to pass.
