WINDOWELL was another short lived project in the 1990's that didn’t amount to much, relatively speaking. We only gigged twice, performing exclusively to original backing tracks. Material was drawn mostly from songs I wrote for THE EMPTY SET along with a few new 'unplugged styled' songs. Two were performed 'live' with special instrumental endings imbedded in the backing tracks, taken from Richard's Chicago-based band's CD - KLAW.

WINDOWELL managed to record one rehearsal and one gig during its short lived time on earth before breaking up, neither having sonic value high enough to release.

Richard Ves later prompted me to write and record a solo LP for his new record label in 1998. That collection, ‘NEXT TO NOTHING’, finally reached fruition on my label in May 2020, after digitizing and mixing the master tapes. Time indeed flies.

Most of the tracks on this CD were recorded March thru Summer 1997 while adding a few more in April 1998 (with initial tracks for ‘There’s a Poem in my Head’ recorded in 1996.) Later that year I continued on my own nearly completing this CD, but alas. Then, nearly 25 years later, I added final dubs January through March 2022 to wrap up the collection.

NOTE: By late 1998 I had reinvented myself as a children's performer and in fact later used the cover artwork for WINDOWELL's Cassingle as the cover of my 2nd children's CD, TUGBOAT TOW. This collection in fact featured the A-side number. It should also be noted that the recording here of MY TIME FLIES was also used on the first small run of that children's CD. Go Figure.
